Susan Stockstill (1951-2013)
The firm announces with great sadness the passing of Susan Stockstill, our partner for several decades, who died in Santa Fe on Monday, September 2.
Susan, a graduate of LSU Law School, practiced in our Albuquerque office for many years, and in the past few years as “of counsel” in our Santa Fe office. An expert in antitrust law, natural resources law, title law and state and local taxation, Susan was both an experienced and successful litigator and a superb “office lawyer.” Susan exemplified all that is good about our firm—collegiality, excellence, devotion to the firm and its clients, and an unwavering commitment to scholarship, legal ethics and honesty.
Susan will be sorely missed by the entire Modrall Sperling family. We will miss her spirit, her fine legal mind and her friendship. We send our condolences to her husband, Al, and her daughter, Laura.
