Vanessa C. Kaczmarek focuses her practice in the areas of federal taxation, estate planning, and non-profit law. Vanessa has experience with tax matters for a variety of business transactions including forming and liquidating companies, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate deals. She has experience representing taxpayers in tax controversy matters. Vanessa has assisted with the preparation of private letter rulings, and she also has experience establishing and representing non-profit organizations.
Vanessa received her undergraduate degree in Economics cum laude from Smith College in 2003. She received her law degree magna cum laude from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of the Brooklyn Law Review and received a number of CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in a variety of tax and trust and estate courses. Vanessa received her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 2011. Prior to her employment at Modrall Sperling, Vanessa worked as a tax associate at the New York offices of Clifford Chance US LLC.
