2022 Ramo Lecture on the US Constitution and the Responsibilities of American Citizenship Featuring Justice Goodwin H. Liu

Albuquerque Academy students will put their questions about the constitution to California Supreme Court Associate Justice Goodwin H. Liu, when he speaks about the U.S. Constitution and the obligations of being an American citizen.
Justice Liu was nominated by Governor Jerry Brown and unanimously confirmed and sworn into office on September 1, 2011. Justice Liu has been a professor of law and associate dean at the UC Berkeley School of Law and a visiting professor at Harvard Law School. Justice Liu received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stanford University, attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar earning a masters degree in philosophy and physiology, and graduated from Yale Law School. His primary areas of expertise are constitutional law, education law and policy, and diversity in the legal profession.

The lecture series, established by Modrall Sperling shareholder Roberta Cooper Ramo, first female president of the American Bar Association and the American Law Institute, is funded by a gift in honor of Cooper Ramo from the ECMC Group, a family of companies that provide financial tools and services, nonprofit career education, and job placement services to help students succeed and achieve their academic and professional goals.
