Modrall Sperling Law Firm

Overview

New Mexico’s “Roundhouse,” as our beautiful and unique capitol building in Santa Fe is known, is a legislative and executive branch arena that is somewhat legendary in political circles nationwide, and its circular hallways are emblematic of the challenges often posed for clients who enter. Our lawyer-lobbyists can be critical components of legislative and governmental affairs initiatives, and are respected as substantively knowledgeable sources of input on both sides of the aisle, and by the Governor and Governor’s staff housed on the fourth floor of the Roundhouse. We also have been offered as legal experts during legislative hearings.

Experience

In addition to significant lobbying experience before the New Mexico Legislature and associated interim Legislative committees (where much of the work is done between our alternating thirty- and sixty-day annual legislative sessions), our experienced team of lawyer-lobbyists engage the executive branches of state, county and city governments, as well as conduct lobbying efforts on the federal level. As one of the largest and oldest law firms in New Mexico, serving a significant array of clients with local, statewide, national and international interests, Modrall Sperling has lobbied extensively since the very formation of the firm.
